It won't have the mainstream attention TLOU show got but it's a good second game turned show to hopefully encourage studios to actually utilize gaming properties properly.

Nearly 18 hours into Rise of the Ronin. The game does have a lot of Ubisoft style design where it litters the map with icons like collectibles, activities, outposts you can clear to unlock even more icons on the map, etc. But what I will say is that you can quickly breeze through a lot of stuff in a short period of time so it always feels like you're making progress regardless of how long your play sessions are (this would have been a great pick up and play game for a PC handheld). Also the game does a good job of constantly rewarding you whether it be with new loot, skill points, deeper bonds

The exploration aspect yes. Thats my favorite part of the game. I missed so much the first run through because i accidentally beat the game lol. Im also trying new vocations. I maxed fighter now im close to maxing the one im using now. Ill probably do one more after that. The fodder enemies are dead on site. Yes its very easy at the level im at. Thats why im considering dropping pawns. But im also just having fun with the new combat from the new vocation and enjoying the exploration. Im also upgraded pretty heavily. finally grabbed this today. only a few hours in but so far really liking it. it's definitely rough around the edges but it's also doing a lot of interesting things and has a satisfying gameplay loop, some of the dynamic aspects of the game are clearly a bit prone to weird things/bugs happening but it also makes for a really enjoyable and unique experience. it's a gamey ass game and if it continues along this way ill take that over some overproduced homogenized trash like ragnarok.

DD2 is the next big game for me but mostly just some pallet cleansing after finishing Rebirth. Also need to get around to IW and Unicorn Overlord... Circled back to Mario Wonder the last couple days. Just going back through levels where I missed a purple coin/exit/seed the first time through. It really is a fantastic game, my big complaint is still that it lacks the level of difficulty I like to see in a platformer - which is a shame since it would be a fantastic base for that....controls are perfect and I really enjoy the aesthetic. Let's be honest , you guys don't want to like this game because 1. It outscored ronin and FF 2. Me and remij like it And why does resetera not like it ? This game is awesome. I've got around 30 hours into it now and having just finished up the first area I decided to head into to the second area. Took out another big Golem, and a Griffin along the main path. I'm starting to get pretty good at destroying Griffins. This one I finished off in a single encounter before it could fly away. On my way to town it started turning to night time, and in the distance I could see a campfire burning and was like YES! Wow, my argument was so solid you actually followed with another argument as to why people bought a physical game over digital when given the choice. Hahaha. Fact is retail stores gives good exposures to games. You'd be surprised how many clueless consumers walk into games stores and buy things with a cool cover on them that the cashier recommended. I see it all the times. Logic dictates that if you removed Hogworth Legacy physical version, it would have sold less copies. Maybe not by a whole lot but it would still negatively impact sales to an extent.

Except my point is that it never is about sales when it is positive news. Go to any positive PS game sales thread and it's dumbo talking about lol sales and lol reviews and anything but the sales. Even in this he talks about review scores. Then in nearly every thread he goes on and on about certain people not playing a game when he (and you, but you at least don't go on about this point) literally doesnt play ANY game on PS and yet talks about them more than anything else.

It doesn't reveal stuff you haven't found but but what you explored isn't a different color anymore. So I would explore all you want before finish the game because after that you have to do it by memory. I just found the elven village and of course j don't have a pawn that speaks elven damnit I still haven't found the sphinx.

Switch is on its last legs heading into year 8. Xbox is racing to the cliff and that system is only 3 years old and will fall of the cliff before Switch

I’m on the road a lot now. So, mobile gaming has satiated my gaming fix. It’s kind of cool because I went from being a graphics whore to being more into titles with interesting gameplay loops. Some of these games have ultra retro graphics. However, I do plan on playing the Elden Tree DLC on my PS5. Actually, I can’t imagine playing any big AAA title on the SD or on any of the mobile devices. I’m very realistic with the platform’s limitations. Eventually, I will move my Steam library to PC.
