Susumu Tanaka: Nintendo expects to release 20~30 titles on eShop per week

Recommended Posts

" We started working with indie developers during the Wii U generation. For Nintendo Switch, we
set up a development environment that supports Unity middleware, which is used on smartphones
and other platforms. We are also actively engaging with indie developers at video game-focused
shows and other events in different regions. We also had a Nintendo booth at the BitSummit indie
game event held in Kyoto, where we showcased some games. Some of the indie games already
released have gone on to become million sellers worldwide. In the future, we are looking to release
around 20 to 30 indie games on Nintendo Switch per week, and we definitely expect to see some
great games among them.

Budget shovelware gaming. The Nintendo cycle continues. :kaz:

A lot of those indie games are really good.

Problem they are also on every other platform except those have actual third party support.

Not every indie game is on every platform.   And there are great indie games out there.

Doesn't make sense.  All of the other cows regard Switch as this kinda neato side thing that plays some decent games, but ain't their main course.  Which is fine.  PS4's the market leader, it has the most AAA games.  It's undeniable.

Aza on the other hand is acting like a lemming: insecure as fuck as if the Switch were ass-blasting his system in both sales and exclusives.

It shows that Indie games can also be great.   99% of all retail releases are trash too.. does that mean retail games can't be great?

There are like 2 good indie games a month, and this is explosive diarrhea of 100 trash games a month on the eshop screen.

No .

It means you soft thru a mountain of shit to find a Ruby

I'm not sure why you are arguing this .

Turn on an xb1 , PS4 or PC and see the pile of shit 5 dollar indie games that release each week .

You won't be buying those on Ditch , that's for sure .

As a PC gamer, I'll attest to the fact that Indie titles can be fantastic titles - although what works in the PC's favour is that typically the indie games don't require a massive investment into a GPU to get them running; meaning their accessible to the non-traditional PC gamer, while offering gamers something unique and/or quirky.

The games coming out for the Switch need to ensure that they get the support from the Sheep to make it worthwhile for the ports of Indie games, and their development.

I men they'll be hard pressed to convert people over simply because a game on the e-shop turned out to be fantastic.
