Yeah. It has a lot of cool ideas and I definitely dig the characters. However, it could move faster. You?
Yeah agreed. Though if I was able to binge the full season I probably wouldn't feel that way. I'm just mainly intrigued how to moves forward, I don't really care about the kids. Not sure where the soldiers been the last few episodes, assuming they're captured

It's weird they're making that bully kid and Casper's bae kinda flirt.
The Japanese chick has had the best arc.
Agreed. Idk if you noticed but it comes out at like 8 or 9 pm on Tuesdays even though it's advertised for Wednesday

i took a break and watched the last 4 back-to-back. i'm going to wait until the finale to close it out.

Quote from: z,warrior on September 28, 2023, 01:24:35 AMThe Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar is absolutely amazing and I cannot wait for the other Roald Dahl shorts Wes Anderson plans to make.

I can't compare it to the book I haven't read but it's very good as someone who's only access to Dahl stories have been through the eyes of Wes Anderson.

I didnt like it. Everything was fine but the line delivery was unbearable. I get it's how some people might read a story to kids, but as a movie it completely ruins what would have been a slam dunk. Anderson is the perfect person to bring these types of books to live but the adaption needed a bit more movie storytelling a bit. It's only 40 minutes, if they slowed down a bit it would have added like what? 5 minutes tops maybe?

I thought that was part of the charm of the movie, keeping it similar to a book. I agree though he could have probably stretched it out longer but the rush of it all also seemed to be part of its charm and intentional :glad:

I'm enjoying Gen V so far although I'm not sure it has the safe level of banter and camaraderie that The Boys has.  Then again, I'm not sure if they were going for that anyway with this show so possibly not a fair comparison to make.  It is only 3 episodes in though so I may eat my words later.

My brother absolutely loved The Creator. I completely had forgotten about it and when he mentioned it, with him being in a religious cult at some point I thought he was preaching about some religious flick but it's that sci fi movie with a kid that I can't help but compared to that one Eddie Murphy movie with the Asian kid way long ago.

Will probably check it out this weekend and see for myself

Watched Justified: City Primeval. Solid spin off, Timothy Olyphant is still a great lead and it ends on a pretty exciting cliffhanger.

Yeah it aired a while ago

so i'm on season 4 of ray donovan. it's not a great show. it's good, at best. however, despite its many flaws, i'm really enjoying it. it's like sons of anarchy, where i knew i was watching a decent/solid show, but just had fun with it.

Freevee is horrible. Started watching the Bosch spin off and there's constant ads with no way to bypass them. They don't even give you an option to just pay some money and watch stuff ad-free. Who thought this shit was a good idea...no wonder people pirate shows.

yup. i get it if one is strapped for cash and is ok with all of the commercials. i rather pay a service or pirate (if that's the only way to get it).

word. Had to stop watching Lost because of this, the ads would be really long too with no option to skip them.

I've got Hulu now and will watch Lost on there. But I've been watching all old shows from the past that I never finished like Malcolm in the Middle, and now Misfits.

I'm kind of ok with the writers strike, the break is affording me time to catch up on old stuff :glad:
