My Sharp died after only 3 fucking years. It was cheap but still, should last longer than that.

Yeah I've owned a few for bedroom and basement TVs. They're really not bad, but get a warranty. Both died on me after 2 years.

The QM8 seems pretty decent, and is definitely better. What can you get that for?

The QM8 seems pretty decent and isn't much more. I'd go for that.

Edit: actually the Q7 being sub $500 usd is a good deal.
I'm looking at 75" Tvs. The qm8 is 2200 and the q7 is 1400. That's a fair bit more.

ya. got one for my dad. he loves it.

No, but my brother bought a Hisense and he loves it. I went to go check it out a while ago and it did not disappoint. It was fairly cheap as well.

yeah, hisense is fine for the money.

Hisense owned the Sharp name for awhile and that's what i had. It was trash.

hisense was pretty bad, back in the day. it looks like the quality has been greatly bumped up, though. i would still go with tcl over hisense, unless i wanted something cheap af.

Christ. Buy your shit from Costco you can literally return anything there. You can literally buy a pie, eat it, go back with a box and receipt and say it tasted weird and they'll give you your money back or a "fresher" pie. I knew a guy who every couple years would break his TV purposely cuz Costco would just hand over a newer model to him

I have a TCL TV and soundbar in my bedroom. I bought it because the soundbar came free with it and idc really about TV quality for watching basic shit as I'm going to bed.

I think the picture looks good and the soundbar sounds nice too. The remote is a pos but I'm sure that changed when you get bigger better models

Then maybe go for a higher end TV brand.

No idea.
I guess TCL is the equivalent to Westinghouse back in the day?

I ordered the q7. Did a lot of research and seems to be the best quality for the price.
