15h+ in now and I am still continually shocked how they are nailing this. EVERY character has so much personality, even ones that were nothing but complete side or fill in characters in the OG. Each chapter is feeling very distinct and it's tone and visual style can vary greatly. Lastest chapter I played was so Yakuza inspired in the absolute best way. For me this is already the best FF since X.

Have so much free time now. I beat Metro Exodus, Borderlands 3, DOOM Eternal, and I'm working my way through Shadow of the Tomb Raider. Hoping to finish that before FF7

Looks like a Detroit special edition controller. I like it, very ergonomic. Think the buttons need to be coloured though. The black edit version looks great too but I think this hints at the PS5 design quite a bit.

If the controller is anything to go by, PS5 will be one sexy beast.

That system hacked, is one of the best handhelds ever. Such a sleek, sexy device.

One thing I don't like is it looks like there's a few pretty deep lines separating the colours. Dust/dead skin will definitely get in there.

it looks like it will probably have solid gameplay, but the backgrounds look so generic. too much gray and brown. hopefully, we will see some diversified levels today.

Played 4 matches today. It's fun, gonna take me a while to get used to the abilities and stuff but they're doing a lot of good things. Gunplay is very similar to 1.6, movement too. Map design seems solid and everything contrasts really well. 128 tick and the game performs really well.

I actually think it has my fav setting, probably the best soundtrack and I like the characters a lot. But squall was pretty much shit with his “whatever” nonsense and the gameplay just honestly....sucked. Draw system, level scaling, and spamming GFs. That’s all shit that I hope never returns.

I've mentioned it a lot before but the sequence where you work to assassinate you know who, or the whole train heist were some of the highlights. That game has so many entertaining 'one-offs' that they never really tried to do before and still haven't really done since then tbh.

I'll see it every weekend because when I close my eyes and imagine hard enough all I see is a competent front office.

Yea, the smartest move now would be just to launch it day and date with the PS5 for both systems. Make the launch as absolutely massive as possible, and everyone will be rushing to the stores to buy PS5s anyway.. so you might as well have the biggest first party game there with it.
