Hope this does well. The game is legit near GOAT status in terms of 3rd person shooter gameplay. Deserves so much more specifically from people saying Sony only does 'story' games. This is as pure gameplay as it gets. Harder than any Souls game too.

It's surprising they got so much mileage out of it in the first place. Master Chief is an action figure. The magic of Halo has always been multiplayer. I never cared about the lore of the Halo universe, but coop campaigns are always fun. Combat Evolved with LAN connectivity was huge on college campuses. 4-player split screen made Halo the natural successor to Goldeneye 64. 343 never understood or prioritized these elements.

put about 2 hours in today. game is definitely solid. starts out a little cheesy but they've certainly trimmed the story parts down, pushing you right from battle to battle - so if that's your thing, you'll like it. seems more awakening than three houses. the new mechanic opens up quite a few possibilities in battles too!

MS is fighting in court right now to buy Activision for $70 Billion and at the same time laying off 10,000 employees including workers at Bathesda and 343. I'm sure the FTC and EU are looking at this and noting how it would be great for MS to consolidate the industry.
