  1. Hispanic isn’t a measurable statistic on race as any race who speak Spanish as a primary language is “Hispanic”; White, Black, or Brown… (but don’t call the Black ones “Black”, they hate that. Especially Dominicans)
  2. On average, its low income people of any race who commit crime. Neither can defend themselves with affording a "good lawyer" but they would all have access to a public defender and other indigent resources. An offender’s "recidivist" history does not appear to account for any of the demographic differences in sentencing Black people for longer times than their White counterparts, according to this link > https://www.ussc.gov/sites/default/files/pdf/research-and-publications/research-publications/2017/20171114_Demographics.pdf "Black people are about 7½ times more lik
  3. Statistically White people do not go to jail for the same “crimes” committed by Black people. A Black guy with weed is not the same as a white guy with weed…
  4. The NAACP shouldn’t warn people to stay out of Florida and should instead encourage diverse people to visit and change Florida’s landscape. If you leave the land to conservatives, what was once a swing state would remain red and that would be a huge loss for democrats.
  5. Imprisonment has become the new form of lynching black people where in Florida, even though they make 14.5% of the population, black people make 47% of the prison population.
  6. Andrew Tate is Black. His dad is a famous African American chess player
  7. Same, which made watching the eps after it all the more aweful, I had high expectations that they would be as good as the first
  8. I loved 4 and am liking 5 so far, still need to finish it. But I thought Black Mirror was supposed to be sci fi and have a lot to do with our relationship with technology? And if it wasn’t sci fi it was at least plausible situations… EPS 4 and 5 went full on fantasy, and I do like them, but it just threw me off.
  9. I thought of that, like punishing corruption would set a precedent that no leader is above the law right? And I agree with that. What I have a problem with is treating a leader of a country, one that, while some of us may not look up to, millions of others do though, treating your own democratically elected leader like crap, means it's fair game for any leader, to be also disrespected by those critical of them. This happened even before Trump, with slogans like "Thanks Obama" or "Not my President" or the January 6th riot because of Trump's defeat. Trump going to jail will seriously affect the
  10. You being from Canada wouldn't understand, but as someone originally from a corrupt country like Haiti, I've spoken to a number of immigrants who have moved to the US, also from their own corrupted countries who understand exactly what I am talking about. First world countries, especially the US, are upheld in such a standard that corruption seems unfathomable.
  11. A president from the top country in the world going to jail is embarrassing. I would have found other ways to punish him without it being so public. It sets an example that even the US is corrupted. Seems like the only time you can get away with a crime is if you’re a high profile banker.
  12. are you saying only one season is good? Cause there's 2 seasons. I cant remember if I saw the second one yet but definitely liked the first
  13. If you like Dee from Sunny you might also enjoy The Mick
  14. Jamie Foxx fantasy movies on Netflix have been worth following imo, first the one with drugs that give humans superpowers and then the one with vampires, I enjoyed both. Now next one coming out in July may be about clones? Looks good already: https://www.netflix.com/tudum/articles/they-cloned-tyrone-release-date-photos#:~:text=They cloned Tyrone.&text=Jamie Foxx has already taken, uniquely qualified for the job.
  15. I saw it pop up on Disney + and was going to watch it yesterday but started a stay at home 2nd job recently and don't watch as many movies/shows as I used to. Glad to know I'm not missing out Will see the new spiderman this saturday though, kinda got pressured into it by everyone saying how great it is lol
  16. Yikes, you can't even what? post a link that is clickable ffs?
  17. I don't think it would have released like this under Steve Jobs... not at that price, or design
  18. I’m the same now. Used to watch a ton of animes and 3d animated movies, cartoons etc and even worked in animation industry on Netflix and adult swim shows. Then I reached an age where I lost all interest lol
  19. Started watching the US version of Utopia and will rewatch the British version after, both on Amazon Prime. The British version is top notch, so far the US remake does hold its own weight, but if I have to compare the two, definitely prefer the first one more, the soundtrack alone is ace
  20. Just watched Three thousand years of Longing by George Miller (didn’t care for the previous Mad Max movies but a hugggge Fury Road fan and therefore it’s an instant watch for me ever since, if his name’s on it) Maybe my expectations were higher than the outcome, but I think it’s worth seeing at least once. Its strong points are the flashbacks and that is what I wish most or all of the movie would have been
