  1. Watched Disaster Artist yesterday, its a pretty well made movie and quite entertaining. James Franco really does immerse himself to act as Tommy Wiseau at all times. Just came back from watching Star Wars, quite a good movie, and it really feels like they advance the story and stuff happens.
  2. Has anybody posted the free youtube episode of Sci-fi channels new show, Happy, starring Chris Meloni and Patton Oswalt? Its going to be awesome. Its made by one of the guys who directed the Crank movies. People need to see this.
  3. Just got done playing the singleplayer campaign for CoD WW2. Really, really did not feel like playing the game based on the first 30 minutes, alone. I mean it immediately had you doing the same type of initial levels as MoH AA from way back then. Walking through trenches. And then, the game really did pick up. And it really felt like a fun ride, with alot of interesting diversions to never get too repetitive. And, I don't know about most people, I always liked following the narrative of the CoD games, I had liked MW2 the most, and I didn't follow the Black O
  4. I mean its pretty epic when it comes time to fight. And, at first I was lamented the 131 minute length of the movie, but they do no rush portions of the movie, and they made the final confrontation is pretty big. The movie succeeds because they do the ONE SONG that should be played during any movie that is about Norse mythology and Valhalla. And they play that song at the absolute ultimate point in the movie. Its just too glorious.
  5. The new Thor movie is basically Guardians of the Galaxy 3. And its easily the funniest, most enjoyable Marvel movie since the first Guardians movie.
  6. I just bought and played the final Sleeping Dogs DLC: Year of the Snake. Its the weakest out of the three main DLC missions. Very basic story, and just an excuse to do some pretty standard missions. THe only new type of mission is "this car has a bomb with a timer, and you need to drive it into the water so that it detonates with no harm" So I'm officially done with Sleeping Dogs. Main game and the first two DLC missions are still very good. Gonna probably start playing through Tomb Raider now.
  7. How does this not annoy the shit out of you? That would drive me crazy. Stopping a good way into a game but having an intention to come back to it months later? I could never do that. To me, doing that just completely breaks the flow of the game. Once I start a game I feel like I have to finish it and I'll rarely start playing another game until I finish the one I'm playing at that time. I just feel too guilty sometimes to play video games. Some family related problems, there not MY problems, but I feel I should be doing something about it. Some tax shit I have to take care of that I just k
  8. I'm starting and stopping alot. I played about 3 hours into Mark of the Ninja on the PC and stopped. I played Most Wanted U for about 5 hours last week. I just got Lego City Undercover in the mail this weekend. I should probably just pay $6 and play the final Sleeping Dogs DLC (or maybe they'll do another Steam sale soon). Still never got back into Dishonored, I left that game about halfway through (I think). Should go back and actually finish GTA4 because that is the reason why i won't begin playing the DLC episodes yet. And somehow my brother lost or gave away the X360 copy o
  9. Playing through some Nintendoland games, finally tried out multiplayer games with other people tonight. The best overall multiplayer game is probably the Luigi's Mansion. The Mario chase game is fun, but mostly as the guy who is playing Mario and running away from everybody, it doesn't seem very fair to the people chasing him. Luigi's mansion requires some real strategy between the people hunting the ghost. They can hurt the ghost by turning on their flashlights, but when they turn on their flashlights they walk much slower, and their battery starts going low. Tried out NSMBU with multiplaye
  10. Give us on update bruh. she didn't text me anymore, I didn't text her anymore. end of story. Technically she never texted you to begin with, just replied, like twice.. OMFG #BODYBAG Oh shit.
  11. NO, don't make your haloween idea video-game related. Branch it off somewhere else. Do some bad photoshop to send her a funny photo. Like say, superimposing your face on Mafia Baby
  12. Probably time to dial down the video game aspect to about 20%. Maybe bring up haloween, like tell her if a certain costume of you dessing up as [blank] is a good idea. Then use that to text her a funny pic. Good thing we're not 4chan or some other group of creeps that would call that number.
  13. Playing through Crysis 2, hopefully I can finish it up by tonight. I'd like more console shooters to be a little bit more open in design like this game. I like this game, it starts off slow, but it really does pick up a bit better a third of the way through.
  14. Everyone that has played neir always brings up the soundtrack. Is it really that good? Its sounds like background music from JRPGs from the SNES days, except that they are performed by either a.) a very classy group of classical guitars and brass instruments, or b.) male orchestra that has an echo because it specifically takes place in a large shrine so it has a good effect. The music for the large overworld portions seem to used synthesized music, but its a good tune either way. Short 1 to 2 minute tunes that loop over, they do a pretty good job of not sounding annoying.
  15. Started playing Nier. I don't know what to say just yet, only played for a couple of hours. However, I have not played many of these types of japanese rpgs and I was fairly forgiving of FF13, so I will probably have a better experience than most. Game has very good music, I must say. the opening voiceover was very, VERY good. Its actually some of the most realistic expletives voiced in a video game, without sounding stupid and contrived like a Rockstar game.
  16. Rented and played thru Dead Space 2 this past weekend. I liked the first few hours because they immediately started throwing you into the Unitology stuff, hoping that I would get some questions answered rather quickly. Instead that story thread just flew out the window and it become a series of "Isaac you have to turn this on, Isaac you have to go fix this." It got a little boring in the middle, and then near the end they make the same mistake that they make in the God of War games. They just start sending out a fucking parade of all enemy types in obvious killing room areas. Since I just
  17. Played the Civ5 demo a couple of nights back. I played it twice. Yeah, I can't touch that game because I can't afford to at this time. It would destroy my life.
  18. Playing thru Hotel Dusk and Halo 1 on the PC, because I wanted to play it thru entirely before playing Reach. Fucking Truth and Reconcilliation level, I have it on Heroic and its pretty tough in that particular spot in the large hangar bay. Hopefully I'll finish up by this next weekend.
  19. Going thru Metroid Other M. About 4.5 hours in. It started with with goofy cutscenes and then they kind of went away for a while. They try to shake things up from area to area, they go from regular killing areas to environmental traps that you must think a little quick on your feet, to slower paced trial-and-error platforming environments (nothing on the level of the Prime games). Those first-person mandatory "pixel hunt" parts are annoying. Game has quite a bit of enemies, they seem to introduce a new one every 20-30 minutes.
  20. Finish up playing Infamous last night. Pretty good game, it refines alot of stuff that was pretty raw in Crackdown. Makes the mini-map useful. Except for the platforming mechanics, that stuff got a little annoying. Its like Lego magnet platforming mechanics, its too sticky when you get near ledges and rails.
  21. Playing thru Infamous right now. I stopped last night after doing all the side missions on the second island. I think I'm fixing to do the final mission of the second island, so that I can move onto the third island. I have a question regarding the upgrades you purchase, after I've maxed out my "good" meter and purchased all of those important upgrades, can I immediately be bad and fill that up so that I can purchase and have the "Bad" upgrades as well while still keeping my previous upgrades? Or am I so late into the game that I can't do that?
  22. Speaking of which, NMH2 is on special right now at Amazon for $18.10 http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B002BRZ9AG/ref=nosim/mmbevigaotst-20
  23. I have a deep dark confession to make. I bought MGS4 not too long after its launch, but I purposely did not play it because I wanted to buy the MGS Essentials Collection and play through ALL of those games first (because I never played Snake Eater outside of the demos). I got halfway through MGS1 and stopped playing, therefore I never finished the Essentials collection and never started MGS4, which remains sealed in its plastic to this day. So I have some catching up to do with the MGS series. I was just never in the mood to keep up with the storyline. Technically, I wanted to play to play
