Yeah, Tony Shaloub is amazing. I like the actress who plays the mother as well. Even the ex husband stuff is kind of fun. I'm going to post more about The Sandman, which I liked but was let down by weak and in some cases fucking embarrassingly bad CGI and lack of interesting cinematography. When you have the God of Dreams fighting fucking Satan in a metaphysical battle, it should impress some what. Even Legion tops it in this department and that's a five year old FX show.

Look at this fucking establishing scene for a random middle of the season episode of two people having drinks in Ms Maisel.

some of the camerawork and cinematography are downright intoxicating!

The Terminal List is based on the cottage industry of people who claim to be Navy Seals writing their own books that are supposedly based on the types of missions they would do.

They're actually really shitty, hokey books.

Tom Clancy books are their own cottage industry at this point, but initially they were of higher quality.

Somebody actually read one of these books, large portions of it, for a youtube video.

She's making fun of it, obviously, but all she's doing is LITERALLY reading what's in the book for you to see just how bad it is, and just how hackneyed it is.

lol I think I watched this video before, she does a lot of reading stuff and some movie/show analysis. Is this the book where every character tells the lead character that he is big and strong? It's fucking porn for incels.

Watched Saul. I'm liking it quite a bit but it is definitely like pure epilogue material. Has went a very different direction than the final episodes of BB (those were arguably the middle arc of this season for BCS).

Spoiler

I got exactly what I was hoping for. A Kim episode in the Gene storyline and I thought it was great. Practically every scene involving Kim was great. The phone call with Saul, the scene with Howard's wife, the divorce scene with Saul and tbh especially Jessie's scene from Kim's perspective. I know Jesse looks way too old now and it's a bit weird seeing him reprise that character but there's not much to do about that. Kim's line was so damn good though.

Very much looking forward to seeing how this ends up.

I just want it to end so I can put the series to rest (and never revisit these mediocre last few eps).

Spoiler

Kim was the only good part of the Gene arc. So many inconsistencies, dumb moments and forced fan service.

I watched the horror movie Orphan from 2009 for the first time and it was actually surprisingly fun (never even heard of it before now). There's a new prequel coming out next week but one very bizarre aspect is that the child actress from the first movie is reprising her role as the same character even though she's now a 25 year old adult :ben: Should still be a fun watch though.

Well, the For All Mankind season 3 finale was the good, great, just ok and messy - which sums up the season. When it was firing on all cylinders, the episode reached new heights. However, logic gaps, soapy elements and some questionable execution grounded it from total greatness. Still, it was a mostly thrilling episode, but I can't help but feel like the second half of season 3 didn't feel as cohesive and great as the first. I also think season 2's finale was way better.

Overall, I give season 3 a 7.5. That may seem surprising, considering I love this series. However the

Danny

arc took the score down a good 1 and a half point.

I've never seen anyone talk about Goliath. If you like BB,  Saul, Fargo, Ozark, then definitely check it out. I mean it's Billy Bob Thornton at his best. Great cast too.

Billy Bob Thornton

William Hurt

Maria Bello

Molly Parker

Bruce Dern

JK Simmons

Jena Malone

Denis Quaid

Elias Koteas

Dwight Yokam

David Cross

Haley Joel Osment

Beau Bridges

Like seriously, good show. Watch it fucktards 🙂

I watched She Came From The Woods at Popcorn Frights. That was a fun af spin on 80’s slasher flicks. The humor was a mix of campy, crass and politically incorrect :D It was a lot of fun! Definitely check it out when it comes to Shudder.

And that’s a wrap! Saul has ended. Better than I expected, but I still had hoped for more (and better). Also, it shouldn’t have taken

Spoiler

The Jeffy garbage

To get there. Ditching 90% of eps 10/11 would have made everything tighter. Seriously, 3 eps to get to the climax in the finale? Lol, There are many ways (better ones too), in terms of how they could have gotten there- way faster too. Still, I was entertained and I feel somewhat satisfied. Overall, fantastic series with a wobbly, inconsistent final stretch. There were some great performances in the last few eps, though. But overall, I feel like Breaking Bad had a significantly stronger ending. At least I didn’t hate it lol. Wheew.

I laughed and cried when Kim pulled out the cigarette in the prison. It was such a perfect ending for those two. We got closure and we got a real Jimmy for once in court. The finger guns too at the end before the final shot of both of them.

I watched the ep again. While I wasn’t a fan of how the creators got to the finale, I have to say the episode, itself, was pretty excellent. The

Cigarette scene

hit just right. Unlike the 3 eps before it, this one felt even better once I was able to process it all (felt very good about it this morning). It may not have been the ending I, originally, wanted. However, it was still a masterful and emotional conclusion.
