Enjoyed the Saul finale a lot. Thankful we got 14 years of this wonderful universe and brilliant creative, writing, and directing team. It was a wonderful journey. The little thanking thing with the a

HoD ep8 was superb. Honestly been loving this show.

Rings of Power compared to it atm seems mindnumblingly boring but I've only seen 3 eps of that

Yeah I like HoD more too, easily.

But the visuals in RoP are fucking bonkers so I'll always watch it. I don't usually watch a film/movie due to the production alone but even the HDR on this is fucking amazingly well done.

I watched Smile with this girl tonight. It’s the perfect date flick because it’s loaded with jump scares lol. As for the movie, it was entertaining. It rips off a few classics, but it was nicely put together. It’s not the smartest horror flick, but it’s perfect Halloween fun.

I usually think progrock is tedious but this is pretty great.

No that was very tedious. I'm so over that kind of guitar playing (the slapping and hammer ons and plucking,) . And way too produced and compressed. Sounds terrible.  They are skilled but it's just bleh

The Watcher was such a waste of time. I realize the case it’s based on was never fully solved and the culprit caught, but it’s still pretty ridiculous just how unsatisfying the ending was.

I guess if your sole purpose of watching it was to get a resolution to the mystery then it would've been very disappointing. However I thought the first few eps were superb psychological thriller, with an amazing cast and some great pacing. Show got worse as it went on though and become borderline ridiculous at some parts. Still very much enjoyed it though and at 7 eps didn't outstay its welcome.

I just watched Pearl. Wow! The lead actress gives one of the most incredible performances I’ve seen in recent memory. The movie itself is a bit slow but I think it was really solid overall. It’s not really a horror like X though. More of a dark and twisted drama with some thriller elements.

I don’t know if I liked the HoTD finale. I liked parts of it. I just expected more. However, I also know only so much can happen, since “too much” would basically kill the main arc. 7/10 maybe?

ok, after re-watching and processing the HOTD finale, i have bumped up my score to a 8.5

yeah, it wasn't what i was expecting, but damn, it does a masterful job at setting up season 2.

some of the acting (mainly the kids) bugged me a bit. the

Spoiler

laugh from aemond, as he's chasing his nephew on a dragon, reminds me of the wicked witch in wizard of oz. it's hokey.

however, the way that scene ends = wow!

I just started House of the Dragon. Maybe I’ve been spoiled by Rings of Power, but the visuals leave a lot to be desired. Everything else seems good so far.

from my friends who've seen both, they say it rapes rings lol, calling rings kids stuff. so, perhaps hotd has a lower budget, but the general consensus is that it's a significantly better story.

I do wish Rings of Power were darker and grittier, but when it comes to production values it wipes the floor with GoT and House of Dragon.
