As for the movie, it was entertaining. It rips off a few classics, but it was nicely put together. I guess if your sole purpose of watching it was to get a resolution to the mystery then it would've been very disappointing. However I thought the first few eps were superb psychological thriller, with an amazing cast and some great pacing. Show got worse as it went on though and become borderline ridiculous at some parts. The movie itself is a bit slow but I think it was really solid overall. It’s not really a horror like X though. -GD-X★ 7,731 Posted October 24, 2022 Author Share Posted October 24, 2022 ok, after re-watching and processing the HOTD finale, i have bumped up my score to a 8.5 yeah, it wasn't what i was expecting, but damn, it does a masterful job at setting up season 2. some of the acting (mainly the kids) bugged me a bit. the Spoiler laugh from aemond, as he's chasing his nephew on a dragon, reminds me of the wicked witch in wizard of oz. it's hokey. however, the way that scene ends = wow!
