I enjoyed it very much. It’s not perfect. However, I can tell season 2 will build on 1. Awesome premise, slick visuals/gore, an interesting story and good/ok characters (probably the weakest part of the show). Score: 7.5/10 Quote Link to post Share on other sites

The look is good, especially on the Atraides side but it misses a big aspect which is how characters scheme and speculate based on subtle tones of voice, formalities, etc. In the book this is even more important than the dialog. You might get one sentence that is said out loud and a whole page about how the character interpreted it. The movie doesn't represent this well.
