FINAL FANTASY 7, 10 and 12 being RIPPED AWAY from Sony's cock-shuffling hands is one of the most significant days in Sw History

None of those were exclusives. You can get FFVII on everything down to an iPhone

The game has been on PC for 20 years for crying out loud. PlayStation, Xbox and PC will be getting the FFVII Remake and this guy is talking about finally getting 20 year old games.

The dynamic at play here is hilarious.

These games have been playstation only in the console space forever. Non-platforms like Ios, android, PC and emulators are irrelevant.

This is a huge blow to Sony. FF7 has never been playable on anything but Sony consoles, it's literally their crown jewel.

best part is they didn't just lose the crown jewel, the whole damn crown complete with their bloody decapitated stump of a head came along with it. Scratch FF12, 10 and 10-2 off the list too. :D

HUGE news is an understatement.

that's not true. and you know what I mean. FF would've died on n64.

I highly doubt that

FF7 wasn't possible on the N64. Square needed the extra space in CD roms, cartridges were out of the question. It was the best move they could possibly have done. PSOne become synonymous with JRPGs, the genre had never been that popular and mainstream anywhere else.

There's no point in trying to do a revision of history.

Ff7 in its current form wasn't possible but they could have made the same game without all the cutscenes that took up so much space.

Yeah they could take a game that was 2+ gigs to 16 megs. Great fucking logic.

It wasn't just the CGI animations (which were a selling point at that time) but the CG backgrounds during gameplay. FF on N64 would have been totally different.

This is from the tech demo they were working on at the time using N64 hardware:

lol, they made the right call. PSOne was also a more popular platform, even before FF7.

Maybe sheep should quit begging for watered down ports and ask  Nintonto to actually make console that isn't massively underpowered

Then it wouldn't be switch. It was just be a third console thats the same as the other two. Whats the point? One failing home console is enough RIP xbox.
