Popped my Steam cherry

Funny thing that this reminds me of, that I cogitated about, was that Rick Peck from Tropic of Thunder was friends with Tugg Speedman for 15 years. He expressed his friendship boldly with no resentment and decided on going to save him in the jungle. He ended up throwing the briefcase he had with the Teevo up infront of the escaping helicopter to block the rpg. Then you see him scuddle off into the forest.

It IS the best gaming platform in existence.  Any controllers you want, extremely fast network, tons of great games.. No more censored bullshit.  Valve, despite their inability to stick to a single fucking task and get it completed in a timely manner, is always the most forward looking.

There's no other platform that offers the features, amount of games, speed and quality of network, and openness of Steam.  That's a fact.

Steam is what the console Fanboys wish they had in terms of an all encompassing online service.

Doesn't cost money, constant sales, reliable network, a plethora of input options, cloud saves (that won't get deleted) that save your settings and game saves.

probably the worst gaming platform of all time. A dumping ground of cheap crap for peasants trying to run the latest game on their momma's Dell she bought them to type their homework.

Always the lowest of the low, those who couldn't afford consoles, who didn't have the budget to buy new releases, always the bargain hunting SCHMUCKS play on steam.

A cheap, shallow program made to make gaming as cheap and devalued as possible. A platform that routinely attracts scum, attracts broken shoestring budget games, porn games, racist games, anything unsightly and unwanted always pops up on steam.

No curation.

No exclusives.

Just a dumping ground of shallow budget crap. gaming commodified to the lowest common denominator.  cheap. lifeless. poverty gaming.

FUCK steam and anyone who's supported the conmen at valve over the years, fuck you to hell. You're killing gaming and killing developers.

This is pretty accurate, it's an uncurated mess and a sea of bullshit. The platform went from 2,000 games to 14,000+ in a span of 5 years. They opened the flood gates and just let whatever they hell people wanted to publish onto the platform with absolutely no filter. Even if there were good game in all of this shit good luck finding them, there's so many games being added you can't even keep track of what they've added.

Oh noes.. I can't find what I'm looking for in this sea of garba--- oh wait there it is.  :bena:

Steam shits all over any other platform.  No other client on PC matches it... no other gaming platform on earth rivals it.  :blessed:

Censoring developers... ROFL.  Sorry you can't put your game on our platform because we have to be family friendly  :kaz:

LMAO... Imagine if bookstores like Amazon Books curated and decided who could release books on their store... all the great books that people would miss out on.  They don't... and there's a reason why they don't.  How is this any different?  Oh noes... there's TOO much stuff..

Oh wait?!  You mean...

-I CAN search for games easily by title or tags?

-I CAN subscribe to curators who I have similar interests to?

-I CAN subscribe to publishers and developers and receive notifications when they announce/release new games?

-I CAN follow games and genres?

-I CAN see games which are recommended to me based on criteria I specify?

Damn.. I can do all those things... but people still suggest that too many games is the problem?  LMAO.. no.  This isn't Switch, or some shitty platform where there's too much garbage and not enough ways to search through the content.  Steam has the best tools in the business.. and they're getting better.

They need to upgrade their client (which is in the works) and work on some other stuff... but Steam is doing quite well for itself after so many years. :juggle:

Searching doesn't do you any good when you're just looking for good games with no specificity in mind, you have to wade through what is now easily 12,000 garbage titles just to find something good.

Let me ask you a question.... so uh... how do you know a game is good or not when you haven't played it??

You read reviews :drake:

There's an Explore tab which essentially gives you recommendations... there's curators...

You have the ability to ignore all games by certain publishers/devs, genres, tags... ect.. so that you NEVER see them.

You literally DON'T have to look around much at all to find good games... lmao.  Good games are everywhere on Steam.. and it's VERY easy to ignore the thousands of shitty games.  It's literally more work for you to go through your racks of stacked games and find the one you want... pull it out, put the disc in... and then finally play.

Your argument is lame.
