It's not just Phil Microsoft doesn't invest enough in first party devs. Sony had no choice but to invest into games every other division was a giant failure, their phones suck ass, their TVs were terrible (got better now), nobody gives a shit about their laptops and tablets. Microsoft has a whole operating system and a tablet/PC ecosystem to keep up with. 

 

They made a few mistakes at the announcement, Sony seized on it and basically won the gen in one day during E3.

all in the meantime PS4 had got Nier, Yakuza 0, Nioh, Spider-Man, Dragon Quest 11, God of War, Uncharted 4, Detroit, Horizon: Zero Dawn, SFV, and a ton of others.

 

we're literally at the point where ONE David Cage game is better than our entire lineup for 3 years. Sorry, but that's where I throw in the towl. Fuck Xbox and their PC buttbuddies.

let's see, with 10m consoles out (wiiU) nintendo managed to put out games.

 

With 20m gamecubes out, nintendo was putting exclusives, and signing 3rd party deals.

 

With 25m OG Xbox's out there, we were getting games like Panzer Dragoon, JSRF, Ninja Gaiden, Halo 1 and 2, Riddick, and a ton others.

 

When PS3 was getting ass raped sony put out exclusives to correct course.

 

MS now though? Nope, can't be bothered. Their gameplan was to TAKE AWAY what few games did have and whore them out to PC. Sorry, but I can't back a company like that. When you betray the fans like that you're going to get bit in the ass. It's impossible to be an Xbox fan anymore because there's nothing to be a fan of, no way am I backing them next gen, especially if they keep up this fucking lame windows 10 bullshit companion box mentality. fucking make exclusives for your fans, it's not hard, literally everyone including the nokia NGage managed to do that.
