The Ardyn DLC is still coming, but comrades was axed for PC and all other DLC was axed for all systems.  I bet nobody was playing it at all lmao.

It was stupid of them to keep wasting time trying to expand this product.  They wasted way too much money on this game.  Tabata paid the price, even though he did his best with the shit situation he was left with.

FF7R being 4 years "in development" and Nomura saying he'll get around to it after KH3 shows that fuck all is done and it will likely be another colossal fuck up like FF15 was.  Square is the worst managed AAA studio in existence.  So stupid.

There's something deeply wrong with Square Enix internal development. At least the Square side of things. Still KH3 looks promising so there's that but you can tell Nomura treats it as the premiere franchise and not Final Fantasy.

 

Enix owns hard with DQXI, the best classic JRPG in decades. DQXI shipped 4 million worldwide (with digital sales), hopefully it means more RPGs from Enix on consoles.

Platinum doesn't have to deal with Square Enix' management.  Nomura was in charge of Versus Xiii, now KH3 (13 years after KH2 release), and is overseeing FFVII remake, announced over three years ago, and still talking about the direction he wants to take it.
