FFVIII has some of the best story moments and scripted action sequences in the series, but it was ruined by the leveling system.

That would probably be my second choice. Considering how short the life span of the DC was, the amount of great first party games was insane.

The opening credits were also awesome. Man, me and my buddies were playing both FFVIII and Soul Calibur (DC) simultaneously, we gamed all day. I still remember it like it was yesterday.
