Apparently the RX 3080 is as powerful as the 2070 at half the price, $250 vs. $500.

If that's the case I'm buying it, a GTX 1080 level card for $250? That would be perfect for a 1440p environment.

When does that come out

I'd love to get me one of those APUs for cheap. :bate:

Yeah I got myself a laptop to play my 'must have' games, but looking to build a desktop around Q1  so cheaper parts the better. :face:

it seems like a good deal until you realize that many of the games you try to play at launch are filled with problems or don't even work period with their cards. Until that stops happening, ill continue to play it safe and go with nvidia.

It also seems good... until they delay and under deliver... like always.

Anyway, hopefully it ends up true so Nvidia lowers their prices.  None of these cards would interest me, but I would love AMD to bring out a worthy competitor to Nvidia's high end.. but that ain't happening any time soon unfortunately.

Sounds like a typical NVIDIA launch.

The only thing good about AMD card launches is the potential for them to cause Nvidia to lower their prices :mj:

Literally or a cheap card for your buddy who's trying to build their first box on a budget. :drake: The biggest problem though is that NVIDIA ain't budging because they know that got it in the bag. That's the worst part because at the end of the day the consumers are getting fucked and NVIDIA's pockets are getting fat.
