Dauntless coming to Epic Game Launcher, Xbone , PS4 with Crossplay/Progression. Switch and Mobile later.

"Dauntless, the Monster Hunter-like RPG that is currently available for PC, is making its way to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, developer Phoenix Labs announced during The Game Awards. It is expected to arrive as a free download on these platforms in April 2019, when it will also become available through Epic Games' newly announced store on PC. Phoenix Labs has also said Dauntless is coming to mobile and Nintendo Switch later in 2019.
The studio said Dauntless' arrival on new platforms brings it closer to the team's "One Dauntless" vision, which will allow players to connect through seamless cross-platform play, and have their progression and account management carry across all platforms, worldwide."

Yes. Looks like Sony wants to avoid negative PR at the start of next gen.

i saw the gb quicklook, its just a cartoony monster hunter. Doesn't seem that interesting.

I just tried it. Meh, so far its the same as most other F2P MMO style games but this one has a Monster hunter theme. I wish Nexon would put out a sequel to VIndictus, and show all these studios how its done.

Super interesting that the crossplay between PS4/Xbone starting already. I figured Sony would enjoy their last year of console market dominance and force people to buy PS4s to play with their PS4 friends.  Either they wanna look like good guys heading into next-gen, or MS and Sony are actually finally collaborating a bit. 

 

But I'm all for it. One of the best things about SFV was it having crossplay. It's so great to have when half the people you wanna play with on PCs.
