Word. Imagine when higher resolution devices come out allowing you to put in a headset and watching a 4k movie like you're in a movie theater.

You obviously lost more than a few brain cells after getting sick. You sure you haven't fully recovered yet? Astro Bot is a great example of how to do VR right.

Astro Bot was easily one of the best titles of last year and one of the best VR games made.   Remipee

It's really easy to tell who the VRgins are around here... the regurgitate the same shit... and are completely ignorant.  Rem, please take us srsly PLZ!! :hest:

There's never been a VR game more overrated than Astro-bot.  The critics have latched onto what they could.. so that VR could have "this moment" :mj:

What a fucking FARCE. It's a fine game... a good use of the technology.  But absolutely NOTHING special. :reg:

People think VR is dead, because it's not selling like a nintendo switch/wii, but what they fail to see is that something like VR doesn't need those kinds of numbers to be a success.  Unlike regular consoles, game attachment rate for VR is high and sales will only get better as cheaper headsets and vr compatible gpu are released.

There's the simple fact that it's the future of display technology.  There's nowhere else for display tech to go... So people can claim VR will fail all they want... but it will never go away... it simply goes back to the drawing board until the right company implements it at the right time with the right features and ease of use.

But it does, developers are going under trying to support the medium and software doesn't advance when little money is being made. The most successful titles are selling only a couple hundred thousand of units and once you get out of the top few games the figures for adoption are abysmal.

Once we get that fidelity, along with the extreme ease of use... VR is going to explode.

Going by your past predictions I feel like I should invest heavily in VR.

It's not a prediction though, the games sell poorly. Just for reference that Fallout 4 VR figure is 78,000 sold copies... Superhot is 102,000, Job Simulator is 170,000... Look how abysmal those figures are on PC and then look at PSVR... Skyrim: 36,000...
