Xbox1 - only "around 41 million" sold WW.

• 17.5 million in 2016 (end of 2016 price reduction to $299 + introduction of the Pro)

There's literally nothing that displays exclusive games have in any way moved the needle for this console. It's never been about that, it's all perception, it's mindshare, it's price reductions. That's all it's ever been about.

 

P.S. The Wii U is another glaring example of exclusives doing nothing, its exclusive games were great and yet it didn't sell. It's MINDSHARE & PERCEPTION.

 

 

 

 

 

You, uh...........do understand that exclusive games are MARKETED to hardcore video game fanboys before they eventually release.

 

We knew there was a problem with Xbox exclusives as early as 2015, and then when Microsoft was talking about Universal Windows Platform in 2016, knowledgeable gamers knew that there was not going to be such a thing as exclusives only on the Xbox.

 

XBox sales really slowed down.

 

People saw Horizon Zero Dawn, Bloodborne (right in the middle of Dark Souls being the hottest name in gaming), Uncharted 4, and then during the middle of the gen God of War, Spiderman, Uncharted Lost Legacy, and TLOU2.

 

I'm sorry, but that settled it for people. And the first wave of PS4 buyers ended up playing their Call of Duty (Sony marketing exclusive) and Madden games on Playstation, and that meant that their friends were going to play online, and that meant they HAD TO BUY PS4 systems.

Xbox was showing Crackdown 3, Forza, and Gears (not made by the original developers), and Halo (not made by the original developers). It couldn't compete.

X outselling pro, XB1 being the revenue leader because of X, Switch falling off a cliff, Switch being down in 2018, Switch coming last because of no price drop, Pokémon wouldn't sell, Smash would bomb because no one is talking about it on the GS message boards, him walking into his local wall mart and declaring Xbox1 the winner because of what he saw on shelves, Switch will only sell 3 million WW between Oct- Dec and on and on and on..... "Take it to the BANK!!!" 

 

Now that the hard data is out and he is LITERALLY wrong about every single one of his claims.... he wants to refute facts and bitch "bbbbbnnut who cares "

43-45 million seems to be far more realistic, the console seems to sell between 8-9 million on a yearly average. It sold 4.3 million in the US and did 600k in the UK, so that right there is 4.9 million, they're in literally over a hundred other countries and while some are small to think they only make up an additional 1.1 million sales for a year is just retarded.

Reminds me of Trump, when a news reporter factchecks him and corrects him on the spot.....he'll just pause and say that "well, that's just what I believe."

 

They're trying to say that "a belief" carries the same weight as "a fact."
