Just look at how much their games sold. And Nintendo games tend to keep selling throughout the entire gen. Mario Kart 8  and Smash are going to hit 20 million in a  year for sure.  Are there even any Sony or MS exclusives that manage to do this type of numbers?

This kind of happens when the only real AA/AAA games you're getting are those provided by the manufacturer of the system.

What else on this level are you going to buy on the system? They've monopolized their own products.

and yet you expected both Smash and Pokémon to flop...... Smash then goes on to sell over 12 million in THREE WEEKS and Pokémon 10 million in Two months :loldance:

If Switch was as strong as XBX, had all the same games, the Nintendo games would still sell this much.

Yes... we all know that Nintendo games sell Nintendo hardware... but third parties are doing well on the system too.

Nintendo Switch:
Total Software: 163.610.000
Nintendo: 93.780.000*
Third Party: 69.830.000

Wow Nintendo alone sold almost 100 million software on Nintendo Switch.  And Switch is not even 2 years old yet.

Do you actually believe your own bullshit?

People are purchasing two consoles one to play Nintendo games (Switch) and another to play big AAA games not on Switch.     So that's the cost of two consoles + Nintendo game + Big AAA 3rd party game not on Switch.

DynamiteCop thinks that if Switch was as powerful as the current systems and received the same support..... someway somehow.... Nintendo software will sell less... even though the consumer would only need to spend less money by not needing a second console for the AAA 3rd party software :lemming:

What Dynoshit doesn't know is that first party games on Nintendo consoles usually account for about 40-50% of software sales.  On the Switch it only accounts for about 25%.  So, third parties are actually shining on the Switch despite the very strong first party offerings on the Switch.

Oh how the stupid falter...

The top 10 Nintendo games amount to 83.92 million sales on the Switch, just 10 Nintendo titles and there's more of them on the platform.

Do you know what the total software sold is? 163.61 million, Nintendo's games account for more than 50% of the whole, if you add in the other games they have available it's probably at least 60%.

You dun fucked up because you don't pay attention, son.

So that means Nintendo's titles account for 93,800,000 out of that 163 million. 25 titles are 57.3% of all game sales, 1630 games account for the remaining 42.7%...

No one sees a problem with that?

20 titles sold over a million on Switch for the 9 months of April through Dec.

8 of those titles were 3rd party.

12 were first party.

That's a healthy split.
