What were the 8 3rd party games?

It's a Nintendo earnings report to their investors.  The 3rd parties will report that in their own earnings or Nintendo can share that info of the specific title at a later date.

What does it matter who the 3rd parties were? and What games were they?

The split of 60/40 million sellers means that third-parties are able to sell well alongside some absolute MONSTER Nintendo first-party games that sell gangbusters.

These Nintendo Switch games are selling as crazy or if not crazier than Wii first-party games.  Yet the third party situation is completely different.

Smash Ultimate 12 million in 3 weeks, are you fucking kidding???  On what, 25-28 million userbase?

RDR2 sold 17 million in 2 weeks, with a userbase of about 105-108 million. And RDR2 had two whole years of pre-orders because it was announced a long time ago.

Oh how the stupid falter...

The top 10 Nintendo games amount to 83.92 million sales on the Switch, just 10 Nintendo titles and there's more of them on the platform.

Do you know what the total software sold is? 163.61 million, Nintendo's games account for more than 50% of the whole, if you add in the other games they have available it's probably at least 60%.

You dun fucked up because you don't pay attention, son.

I was doing your math because I was stoned af

Said it a year ago: Switch is a different beast than Wii.  People who bought a Switch want to play games on the system, not just Nintendo stuff.  They don't care that the games are brand-new or several years old because the allure is being able to play console games on the go.  It's pretty absurd that we aren't already playing Bioshock 1/2/Infinite, Mass Effect 1/2/3, Dead Space 1/2/3, Dragon Age 1/2, or GTAV on the system.  Those games would sell, guaranteed, because the allure of being able to play them anywhere at any time is too good to pass up.

In theory, in reality I'd wager 95% of these systems never leave the house and just end up as couch accessories.

That isn't relevant.  What's relevant is being able to play these types of games without a TV.

You mean like the Wii U? It's pretty relevant if the behavior executed by the consumer base is the same behavior which could have been accomplished on the Wii U yet that ended in disaster.

Wii U had you tethered to the console.  We've been over this.  People like their portable systems to be portable, not on a leash.

Wiiu had very short range and wasn't a self contained system that allowed you to take your full game anywhere around the house, train, plane at work on vacation... wherever.

Stop being obtuse.

and why are you pulling that 95% figure out your ass when Nintendo already gave the docked to handheld ratio? :|

Okay, so they play it from their couch in handheld and docked mode equally.

Happy?

Ding ding ding.

I've literally played full console games on flights, the train and around the house... it was liberating.

My brother in law lives right down the street from us.  Every time I go over there or he comes over here, we bring our switch with us.  We do this 2-3 times a week.

Smash, son. :ben:
