Update:   PlayStation Network generated more revenue than both Nintendo and Microsoft's entire gaming divisions combined. Nintendo: ~$10b Microsoft: ~$11.5b Sony: ~$20.72B

Yup. Thought it’s pretty clear.

How did you get $700m from $20.72B - $11.5B? Deeno math kicking in.

No, PSN for gaming generated $3.98 billion. It's right there in Zhuge's post. Sony's total network generated $12.5 billion, so gaming was responsible for about 30% of their network income.

Wow you truly are retarded. The 3.98 billion is just for one quarter of 2018, look at the graph. Deeno is mentally challenged confirmed lol

No that is the full year, look at the OP... Also you're not extracting non-gaming revenue from the digital software and add-ons fraction.

Howwww. Just how can one person be so fucking stupid. I'm actually legit blown away by just how mentally retarded Dyno is. It's nearly offensive to me as a species. Holy fuck, this is the peak of the peak of dumb in arguable SW history. The earnings reports and multitude of posts are so damn clear that Stevie Wonder could see it.

PSN: 3.98bn for Q3

PSN: 12.5bn for 2018

Playstation overall: 20.72bn.

There is a million reports on how PSN alone is larger than Nintendo's entire 2018.

There is a thread at Era with countless posts and not one dumb motherfucker as Dyno in it :D

So for the calendar year 2018 (using the current conversion rates), MS gaming division made 11.5 billions, Nintendo made around 10 billions, Playstation made 20.72 billions. Almost the same as both combined.

PlayStation Network generated over $12.5 billion USD of revenue in 2018,

The analyst noted PSN's $12.5 billion is "higher than Nintendo's total revenue for 2018." Sony's network also beat out Microsoft's gaming division last year, which generated $11.5 billion, according to Ahmad.

How is this even being argued :hest: Some fucking clinical retardation in here. FMD

Lmao at dino for thinking that only a small percentage of the revenue was from PSN games related stuff and that the majority came from elsewhere. :tom:

What, you think Sony makes more money with movies and music on the fucking Playstation Network? :jordan3:

I don't know, arguing against a literal stated number is quite difficult to beat. He was legit arguing against 1 being 1.

3.98bn total for PSN :hest: Nearly fn died at how dumb he can get. Literally staring at a graph with each quaterly PSN income in it too :tom: Literally reading Zhuge and every publication state that PSN alone > Nintendo overall and > MS gaming division.

Insane figures. It's why Nintendo wants to step into the paid online space.

Some additional interesting info.

37% of all PS4 software sales are now Digital.

Big difference between wanting to do it and able to do it.

In order for Nintendo to be able to charge $60 for a proper online service, they'd have to spend money on good infraestrucutre, a closed online system and nicknames.

They will never do it.
