Hades cracks me up though, I think I'll enjoy it. my memory of the original games is hazy, but in 3 you can assign spells to shortcuts and use them that way. E.g. you hold down L1 and then press one of the face buttons corresponding to a spell. The combat is still incredibly mashy though....in fact my arm was starting to get sore by the time i beat all of the bosses at the end.
