102020393023445948594 2,223
Every time it shuts off for power saving mode or whatever, it'll lose connection and i have to go back into settings and manually set up the wi-fi network again. Loses connection during games rarely, but it happens. then i have to set up the wi-fi in settings again. My internet is good, all my other devices don't disconnect. Faulty console? lynux3 2,068
Well, it's no secret that the Wi-Fi module is complete and utter garbage on PS4. Doesn't matter if its base or Pro, they're both the same trash. You should probably go wired with a powerline adapter or run a longer cable.

Maybe he could solder the Xbox wifi adapter into his PS4 so it actually works properly

Hot Sauce 2,729
Have you hard rebooted the console and/or rebuilt the database? Usually fixes little quirks like this.

lostfool 680
My Wii had the same issue if it was plugged into a power strip. So I plugged it in to the wall and it fixed the problem.

-GD-X★ 7,733
I can’t say I’ve ever had a WiFi issue with the PS4. Even the OG. Granted, I would just use it for downloads and Netflix. Edited February 11, 2019 by -GD-
