Are studios too scared to produce anything new? It either has to be based on a comic book or be based another movie that was popular in the 80's or 90's and then just change a few of the characters around and rehash the same idea again and again. It's so fucking lazy and they take the ticket buyer for granted. It's like there's a big list of popular movies of the past that's hanging on the wall of some executives office and he's just throwing darts at what franchise to revive next.
