Nintendo just raised the stakes

Recommended Posts

If the in-game character models already look like the animated cutscenes, why not just make elaborate cutscenes using in-engine assets?  Or are they doing it out of habit from previous games?

it's pretty much a screen-by-screen remake from the looks of it.  Kinda hard to destroy a classic when the remake is just copy/pasted with new graphics.

I played the GB one on emulation, and was shocked how good it was for some GB 1993 game.

you should play the gba games then. oracle of seasons/ages.

I don't like the graphics of the zelda remake.

we are legit witnessing Nintendo return to the SNES era of greatness. Nintendo's back to being a competitor again.

from the Xbox's ashes, Nintendo's managed to find their place in the market again. It's back to the good old days of Nintendo vs Sony, in terms of the hardcore gamer.

MS and windows wrote themselves out of gaming.

I hope they update the mechanics for Links Awakening.  Not sure why they wouldn't.  For example, when I get the feather, I should have a dedicated jump button.  No more switching to a feather to jump.  Just make it a default part of my move set from then on out.

I'm OK with the art style.  Better than Wind Waker's style.

Why?  Lot of people have that opinion.  Though I think LTTP is better because it's easier to play due to the button layout.  This remake will likely tackle that problem, though.

I've never seen it before. I thought it was heresy among the sheep circles.

LTTP is better because it has more content.

Link's Awakening is great but burns out too quickly..... I hope this one has added content.

Doing the boomerang trade quest again will be fun. :ben:

Seriously though, the Roc's Feather is one of my favorite items in the top down Zeldas.
