"And with our decision to do fewer games -- bigger games -- over longer periods of time, we got to a point where June of 2019 was not a time for us to have a new thing to say. And we feel like if we ring the bell and people show up here in force, people have expectation 'Oh, they're going to tell us something.'" Insiders said that Sony had a huge non remake reveal at the Game Awards, and looks like it was moved to next-gen. That's not counting their newly opened studios, 3 VR studios, and third party partnerships. If there 13 studios get a 30-50 million dollar budget per game alone, we're looking at half a billion spent just to keep them open. Realistically, a PS4 will covewr you for the next 3 years easily if you don't want the cutting edge of visuals and only care about games. for Japanese games it's even easier to stick with the PS4. it's going to be awhile before devs jump over to PS5 even after it's out.
