People thought Nintendo was gonna revive a dead and buried game and these madmen go and revive an entire dead and buried company.

that's a wrap, folks. Wish you would have all seen this coming and sold of your Xboxes while you could. Almost too late now.   Xboner's reveal was literally a deathblow. the brand was sunk b

So, will all Xbox Live multiplayer features will be free on Switch just like on PC?

Guess they'll chare us 8$ a month to play the games, but what about the multiplayer features? Lems are gonna front our bill, too, just like they do for hermits.

Xcucked again.

Hell, it wouldn't surprise me if Nintendo asked Microsoft to handle its online matchmaking and friends system for online games.

In exchange, Nintendo LETS them sell GamePass to their userbase (Nintendo probably gets a small cut of that revenue).

Nintendo is using Microsoft as an IT service, at this point.

Out of the three options. Switch, XBox and PC. I'll probably go PC when I get a gaming laptop or PC.

Sub for 10 bucks once every year to play a game and call it a day.

I feel sorry for people that buy games on XBox, its games are going to be the most devalued purchases in gaming history. There is literally no point in even buying the $60 releases when they'll be on the flea market for $10 in a month.

These idiots don't seem to understand that if MS doesn't get Xcloud on Switch, Google or Amazon their streaming on the system.

Getting XCloud on Switch is literally a life or death situation for MS in the streaming market.

Saw it coming. everytime I went to sell a game the PS4 version would be worth double.

PS4 versions of games are always sold out here too, always have tons of xbone copies left though. the console is just not worth spending money on, especially now with gamepass devaluing all the new releases.

don't spend a dime on it

Crackdown 3 used discs probably will cost $5 in 3 months. :kaz:

While Xenoblade and Zelda are still going full price.

Are you retarded lol? Switch is a tiny community for stream targeting, microscopic... The goal is mobile which encompasses like 4 billion people...

they're gonna have to bury CD3 copies in the Sahara Desert like Atari did for E.T. :mj:

We;'re literally witnessing the death of Xbox, there's no way out of the hole they created.

RIP.

Absolutely.

Streaming isn't going to work for iOS or Android unless you buy a controller separately, and Microsoft could sell its Xbox controller as a universal controller that uses bluetooth.

So, the next best thing is streaming it from a device that ALREADY HAS CONTOLLERS. That's the Switch.

Sony is not going to allow it on their PS4.  The Switch becomes the easiest, most accessible platform to introduce game streaming.

If Microsoft were smart, they'd be trying to broker deals with Samsung or Vizio so that they incorporate the necessary internal hardware to have Game streaming built-in their televisions, and all people have to do is buy an Xbox controller.

Switch will have much more success in game pass and sales of say Ori than fucking android. It's not even a debate. It's a gaming system not a fucking phone.

Like 1.7 billion people play games on their phones... But please don't stop trying to convince me that Switch with its 33 million install base is the bastion and savior of game streaming...

I like how Sony doesn't play into this equation at all... and LMFAO thinking that Google, Amazon, or Xbox lives and dies in the streaming market based on who gets to Switch first. :lawl:

Are you fucking stupid? :kaz:

Switch will sell 100+ Million.

MS's "Stream box" will be pulling Vita numbers if lucky.

Wait you think people playing Candy Crush will sign up for XBox streaming? LOL.

Switch is a GAMING system, it's userbase is 100% gamers. The idea that phone gamers are going to run to sub to XCloud is a joke in itself.

Switch without a single doubt will be a significant part of XCloud.

Even if 10% of people on phones signed up for it that would still be 170 million people, even if 5% did that would be 85 million, even if 2.5% of people did that would still be 42.5 million which is still beyond Switch...

Switch is not the target, they don't give a fuck about it one way or the other... Being as stupid as you are you're also forgetting that this is a global system meaning it would work on basically anything.. So even Switch gamers would be using it on their phones, or their tablets, or their PC's or whatever else...

They don't need the Switch or a fucking app on it you baby brain, it's irrelevant. Hell, you already need a phone for online gaming on Switch, boom! rendered irrelevant.. Do you know anyone without a smart phone whether gamer or not? I don't, I haven't even met a person without a phone in the last 10 years...

Yeah they're going to give a 100 million console market to Amazon or Google. GENIUS.

5% attach ratio for XCloud for phones? Put the crack pipe. All those women addicted to selfies and social media are going to run out and play Halo with touch screen controls.

No wonder Reggie is retiring.........he's finished off Microsoft.

So, there's two possibilities here, and one is actually MORE embarrasing for Microsoft.

Possibility #1: They're bringing GamePass via streaming.

This doesn't seem possible right now, and having a handheld wireless stream games via Wifi-ac would be really difficilt.

Possibility #2: They're bringing games on GamePass by PORTING THEIR OWN XBOX ONE GAMES TO SWITCH HARDWARE.

-Ori and the Blind Forest is ported to Switch

-Crackdown looks like a shitty looking game, the cloud physics would still apply in multiplayer mode.

-They degrade the waves in Sea of Thieves, and everything else looks the same.

-They downport Forza

Possibility #2 would absolutely...........positively...........definitive-ly.............be the END OF the Systemwars for the lemming faction. If Microsoft is literally having their developers create ports for the Switch hardware they ARE a third-party developer on Switch.

They aren't making ports at all.  wtf they have a platform with servers running virtual machines and that streams to another device.  There is no coding or porting involved.  That's the entire point of cloud services.  They make one game and the servers are adjusted to stream to other devices through an application.. it would never run natively on switch :D switch can barely run its own games.

What will be funny is that MS's streaming  games will likely run better than switch developed games :cruise:

You're not saying anything here...

You said MS's streaming lives or dies on whether or not they get on the Switch...

Do you realize how fucking STUPID that is?  The amount of devices that streaming opens MS up to is WAAAAY more than 100m...  That's fuck all.  You mentioned mobile people that play candy crush on their phones as not being the target... but do you know that there's far more to mobile gaming than candy crush?  Did you know that a lot of people who play on mobile play those kinds of games because those are the main kinds of games made for those devices?  Millions and millions of mobile gamers are probably salivating at the chance to play big console games on their tablets, phones, laptops, and computers.  Mac and linux users as well..

Switch will be a nice catapult for sure.. .but MS' streaming doesn't fucking die if Switch doesn't work out... lmao please.

And why are you talking about MS' stream box?  That's an ancillary device that will be on the market for those who want a streaming box under their TV.  It's a cheap box and wont in any way be something they expect to sell tons of... It's just there because they need to have their own device for people who don't want Switches or whatever the fuck else.

So where is Sony left in all of this?  Do they get on Switch too and there's 4 different streaming services on Switch?  Or do MS and Nintendo have a deal and Sony lost out?  What's going to happen to Sony's streaming future if Switch is with MS?  How does a Sony handheld or tablet sell when someone can get a Nintendo Switch and have Xbox there as well?

Streaming infrastucture and maintaince is EXPENSIVE, especially when its in its infancy just being setup. They need all the hardware they can get.

And yes Switch is a huge part of it. With $10 game pass, and streaming investments costs MS will probably be going for a loss leader for a long ass time.
