Bold move if true. Don’t think it will happen though, this sounds like MS acquiring EA rumors. It would literally bankrupt Sony to make this acquisition lol.

So let me get this straight, Bethesda and R* would release their games exclusively on Sony consoles now? That'd be insane.

My bad, I thought Bethesda fell under T2.

BTW, if this is true it'd follow with that alleged Borderlands 3 announcement coming soon.

Won’t be true but would be a good fit for Sony getting more SP blockbusters like GTA, RDR, Bioshock. And an MP juggernaut like GTA Online. Plus MLB fits well in the 2K Sports portfolio

They get the games regardless. Why spend 10 billion just to have them exclusive? Makes no business sense.

I don't know if Sony has the money to afford Take Two. They have a Market Capitalization of 9.85 Billion.

Sony might have about $13 billion in cash. If they did they, it would prove that they really are abandoning all of their other business and shifting to just TV/movies and video games.

This would return Sony back to the PS2 days. This would be bad news for Microsoft.

It might if the market gets filled up with Google, Amazon, Apple etc

Content will win in the end

probably one of the few publishers guaranteed a return on investment with the sales of GTA too

If Google is able to get the next GTA streaming, there's going to be enough casual gamers who will try it out, and if it plays okay enough, then they don't care playing it streaming to their phone or TV, they don't care if the picture quality is immaculate 4K.

Its a full-fledged GTA.

That's actually a worse scenario that there being an Xbox version that only sells 50% of the Playstation version.

By buying GTA, Sony still sends the message that a traditional home console is the one that plays "the real traditional games" and the other services don't have that.

2K Sports games may mean that Sony has locked up most of the licensed NBA, MLB, and NHL games, thereby just leaving NFL and FIFA.

Its the biggest thing they can afford with the money they have. They probably wouldn't have enough money to buy out Activision, or even Ubisoft, and EA simply isn't worth buying these days.

I'd rather have MS buy them and just keep them multiplat. I'd rather they increase their first party output, by a lot.

If this is somehow possible, and they have the $$$, this is not a good thing for Playstation owners.
