Can't help but feel the chances of retaliatory actions here in Aus have greatly increased. Hate begets hate and the circle will continue unfortunately. Sad truth is you can never end it because all it ever takes is 1 person. In regards to this specific incident, it's crazy just how many people are missing the real huge factors in this. This guy was as cliche an 'internet troll' as you could imagine. His manifesto reads like a meme. Social media and the internet continues to radicalise (every ideology) and as these younger ppl who have grown in these fucked up communities we will probably see more and more of these horrific events. It can't be emphasised enough how ppl like this entering a rabbit hole and finding like minds then just reading things to continue to affirm their view and push it more and more to the extreme. Same way Islamic radicalization is happening too. Don't really know what you can do about it either. Tear down 8chan and another one will open. On top of that social media used as brownie points, everyone trying to write the perfect tweet or response for likes and affirmation.
