Sony has patented a new band determination device and frequency band determination method to allow the PlayStation system to figure out the location of the user’s tracking. According to the patent, the PS4 could have a “program capable of switching a frequency band used for communication earlier than before according to a change in an environment in which a communication device or a communication partner is placed.” The language might be a little advanced, but the associated images make things pretty clear.

Likely means nothing for a PS5 headset in all honesty.  They might have a wireless headset option a bit later down the road though.

Things are patented all the time just to have the patent in case they decide to do something with it.

Regardless.. VR and how it evolves is going to be exciting :glad:

It has more high rated exclusives than XBox. :|

It has almost nothing, releases on the platform have come to a near total halt.

Like EVERYTHING Sony does they don't support their products and peripherals and let them slip away and die.

I thought this would be different, well it's not. Do you see Ramza talking about it anymore? Do you see anyone talking about it anymore? No, because there's fuck all releasing for it.
