There's no thinking about it... it will be impressive. Regardless of how close they can approximate lighting... it will never actually ACT like real lighting.. unless they do this. Seeing a still shot, or a static light wont look much more impressive on the surface... but when in motion, and when it physically and accurately simulates the lighting and shadow on the environment dynamically and acts as it should... it's fucking impressive as hell. And the real truth about ray-tracing is that things should just look more natural and the scene should be cohesive and accurate. Fake lighting can be approximated very closely.. because developers will and have been ray tracing lighting in development for ages, which gives them a ground truth to then fake. There's simply things that real-time ray tracing can do that they'll never be able to approximate.
