In many places thats a entry level IT/help desk salary. People who think fast food workers should be making that much are crazy.

Seattle/Bellevue is at the top of my list of places to live.

So do McDonald’s workers deserve $4 over minimum wage? Who deserves minimum wage then?

Except it lines up closer to minimum wage from the 50's and 60's

Minimum wage (nationwide) should be about $11 right now, to have the same amount that teenagers were making back in the 1950's

So, no, its not really crazy.

It's putting smaller restaurants and business out of business, causing other local fast food places to increase their wages just to stay competitive and they're laying people off and making less carry the load.

I think they would deserve about $12, and then phase it to higher minimum wager over the course of several years.

Because its not just minimum wage..........its productivity.

A burger employee in 1950 does not have the productivity from a burger employee today. Today's employees are generating more revenue (already counting for inflation).

So you think minimum wage across the country should be $12 a hour?

If you have a business whose business model REQUIRES YOU to pay people rock-bottom wages............then you don't have a good business.

Yeah.

It lines up with what people were making for minimum back in the 1950's

You can check for yourself with googling minimum wage history and using an inflation calculator.

You're gonna say that when the minimum wage is $4 higher than the State's and $7.50 higher than the federal? You need a wake up call.

I’m not debating it. Idc about what other people make or don’t really. I was jw as to your thoughts.

Yeah.........because it doesn't change the fact that its still rock bottom wages.

You can make as many comparisons as you want...........but the numbers do not lie. The national minimum wage is lower than it was in the 1950's and 1960's.
