Version 1.02 (day one patch) so basically the version every person played is when the game was actually downgraded. It was tested against 1.03, 1.06 etc and they look virtually identical. Version 1.0 is the outlier. From 1.03+ draw in was reduced slightly and there's more environmental pop in, in Valentine some lantern lights at night were also removed Version 1.0 on the disc is the version which Digital Foundry tested pre-release Version 1.0 has the best ambient occlusion implementation, it has more light sources at night and in cities, it has stronger weather effects, it has greater population density So the long and short of it (probably) is they ramped up some of the game features for review impact and then for actual release dialed some things back for a more consistent performance threshold. As we saw in Digital Foundry's analysis though the game at 1.0 performed fine especially on the Xbox systems. So if you have yet to play or still are for the best experience it would be wise to roll back to version 1.0, this can only be accomplished if you own the game on disc. This site doesn't have enough people that anyone would be banned for any considerable amount of time either I banned Jimbo for a "month" but by day 3 was like "ok I'ma let him back." I did ban him today again though (3 days) He keeps saying stupid shit referencing kids.. and I'm really not cool with that.. jokes or not.
