The Switch is great for many games....this is not one of them. So much of this game relies on factors that are quite obviously very lacking in this version. Would be a disservice to the game.

Was the gameplay in this game good? Not really. It was ok but repetitive .

Was the puzzles good? NO, not at all.

This game was a good experience because of the visuals and audio.  You could see the emotions on that girls face. That's what made the experience good for me. You could feel pain, anger, everything without even having to listen to her.

 

That's gone. She looks like a potato in the Switch version. Everything good about this game is gone.

I've been trying to get sheep to understand this for I don't know how long but they are tightly woven. Graphics can and do impact the gameplay experience.

It truly is one of the few games where visuals and audio really are most important than anything else. 

This is portable mode would even more ruin the experience. Everything about this game was about a big screen, headphones or loud sound, lights off and be totally immersed in her journey.

But only people who have played it can know that so it will still probably do ok on the Switch.

If MS can manage a conversion like this, no excuse for capcom to not put DMCV/RE2 on switch.

The graphics mean nothing really. Have more fun with dreamcast games than I do with cinematic trash like Hellblade.  

 

Give me good gameplay, give me switch, and we're golden.
