Xbox One SAD edition reveal video - A slap in the face to hardcore gamers and collectors everywhere

Recommended Posts

Watch this video and tell me this wouldn't have made a great April Fools joke. :D

This whole video is like one giant parody... who the hell is behind the MS marketing team? The snark, the disdain for physical media, the disdain for their gamers and customers who want the option of physical software :scared:

Like I said, this would have made a great April Fools video. IT'S SO DUMB and demeaning I can't even fathom this as real.  :D

Glad to see they have like a 40% dislike on their video, it's probably more since YT is known to manipulate that shit

Can't even hire some actors who look like they touched a game in their life, so pathetic :mj:

What totally perplexes me is GamePass Ultimate, it's $14.99 a month which totals out to $180, it's the full price of both GamePass and Xbox Live.

Why is that even a thing? It should be like $11.99 a month or something so there's an obvious discount, the point of a bundle is to provide additional value by spending more than one service overall but getting a discount in return for having both. It also suffers from the same problem the digital Xbox does, you can get Live and GamePass for a year combined for less than $100 if you really shop around, and the same applies to the Xbox One S which you can get right now for like $220.

They're applying their MSRP and then calculating a $50 cut to that when the reality is the system with the drive is already being sold by major online retailers for like $30 less than their $250 discless system. I understand where they're coming from as its the MSRP and that's what they sell things for just like Sony and Nintendo but it's nonetheless certifiably retarded because they're completely ignoring market value and what these products are actually available for, they'll be lucky if they sell any of those systems.

At $199 it would have been fine,  the Xbox One S should be $249.99 MSRP anyway. At $11.99 GamePass Ultimate would have been fine but instead they're charging full price for both which makes the concept pointless.

They still have some pretty dumb internal things to work out that any consumer let alone gamer can see obvious glaring flaws in.

LMFAO you're right

Look at this shit's internals. LMFAO it's lopsided in weight because it's a simple disc-drive delete with all the rest of the internals 1:1

What a piece of crap!

However, by sharing components with its predecessor, the Xbox One S All-Digital Edition still stows remnants of its disc drive. Evans refers to spare SATA and proprietary power ports on the All-Digital board; the two previously used to connect the disc drive itself. The radio frequency board up front also still features the same eject button, now simply masked by the All-Digital's new casing.

They're charging $250 for it :|

Again... why would they redesign their boards when they are simply removing the drives?

They're literally a couple connectors and an eject button.... nothing worth redesigning a board over...
