You think that when we found this out publicly is when industry insiders and or other developers had a ball park idea of what PS5 would entail? lol

Im sure PS5 being more powerful than PS4 wasn't a shock to anyone.... especially people in the industry.

I mean Nintendo is oblivious and lives in their own universe so yeah probably.

all three MS, Sony and Nintendo have a ball park idea what the other is up to.

PS5 being much more powerful than PS4 is a surprise to no one.

the switch is in its own market - one where graphics aren't that important. its hybrid design, along with ninty's franchises, is what the fans mainly care about.

also, its indie titles don't require much technical power. so, i don't think ninty is in that big of a rush to pump out a refresh.

Can you update the thread title and the OP for me.    Turns out it was a miss-translation.

The correct translation is that the next gen switch development will begin after the Switch Mini.

Development on a “next-generation device that is a full model change of the current hardware” will reportedly follow the less expensive model. While Nintendo is said to be trying out various things—including operability and video expression improvements, operating system changes, and so on—development is currently in a state where “it is not clear who will lead the creation of the concept,” according to one developer.

Honestly, no one even gives a shit. :mj:
