Are Obsidian MS's biggest gaming darling studio?

Yeah whatever they put out will never big as big as Halo or Gears, but 343 and The Coalition aren't exactly considered beloved studios. Take way the big IPs they inhereted and they become filler level studios.

"Out of 100" as if that's how video games are generally scored. There's 60 entries on the 2015 list in the 85-88 range.

 

The Pillars of Eternity games are GOTY contenders, while 343 and The Coalition's games are stark reminders of how far Microsoft's first party has fallen.

keep in mind Halo 5 and Gears 4 scores are inflated because they're "exclusives".

 

Ryan Mcafferey (IGN) gave halo 5 a 9.2 and he's very upfront nowadays about how much he hates that game.

 

 

Halo 5 was a 5 or 6/10 and Gears was a 7 at best. Both were such colossal disappointments that they still remain as reasons why I abandoned Xflop.
