PS4 was the best selling console Last year WW and I believe either 2nd best in the US or the best in the US (Switch and PS4 and neck).

One constant was Xbox being last.    Your dumb got confused comparing Xbox1 "Growth" in 2018 with X an additional Sku... vs 2017 that did not have X......

But as soon as Nov 2018 came around... the first month in 2018 that you could compare with a 2017 month that had X..... Huge Declines for Xbox1 every single month since then.

Did the PlayStation 4 see a decline in the US in 2018 or a gain? Did the Xbox One see a decline in the US in 2018 or a gain?

No it actually does matter because people are buying less of them due to the nature of the game included. There's like 5 other bundles with considerably better games which are maintaining their prices

They have 3 months of GamePass for $1 if you're a new subscriber.   One X + Division 2 + 3 months of Gamepass for $330.    But not to be topped, a regional chain in the Midwest had

Did Sony recently release a new hardware sku in 2018?  Did Microsoft recently release a new hardware sky in 2018?

Why are you pretending to play stupid? It didn't work the several times you tried this last year, what makes you think it was going to work this time?:drake:

Yes Microsoft did recently release a new hardware when 2018 rolled around. The XBX that came out in November. And they used that new hardware sku to drive most of its sales, for both that model and lower models.

So.........a better comparison would be comparing PS4's 2017 versus Xbox's 2018.

Go ahead and do that.

PlayStation 4 was the best selling console last year...no need to drop the price if you're selling 18 million a year.

Xbox1 was dead last. The early 2018 "growth" for Xbox1 was comparing 2017 with no X... to a 2018 with X.... that was wiped out real quick as soon as we compared 2017 with X from Nov onwards to 2018 with X.... huge ass declines :rofls:

The Xbox One X released in the beginning of November of 2017, that's not a 2018 introduction so my "no" to your question was appropriate. Also they used that to help drive sales but it did not drive most of their sales as expected. Even with the X they did relatively typical numbers in the US, they've been quite consistent. The point was though as of the most recent complete year Sony saw a decline in sales while Xbox saw an incline yet Sony maintained a $399.99 MSRP on the Pro (bar sales). The validation was always they don't need to lower their price, a decline in sales begs to differ with that rationalization.

Not the point, PS4 saw a decline not only on the worldwide stage but in the United States as well. Xbox did not.

of course the point is selling Hardware.

PS4 sold the most hardware to the tune of 18 million... that's almost HALF of the Xbox 6 year userbase sold in one year in PS4.....

lest we forget that 2017 was the WORST selling year for Xbox1.... couple that with a full year of a new sku in 2018.... that "growth" was really hollow because Xbox still sold like shit.... it just didn't sell like the dog shit of 2017.

That would imply that you know that the other bundles are selling well. Which you don't.

Chances are, the majority of bundles out in the market are Fallout 76 bundles, which is why you are seeing that one on sale with that particular retailer.

There is really no way around. None of this happens if people value the Xbox One X as being worth it by itself. You can't possibly be stupid enough to NOT accept a deal because it comes in packed with something you don't like.

Did you honestly think that logic was going to work? :reg:

But why pay the same price for the Fallout 76 bundle if I can get a different bundle that I want?  They just want to get rid of those packages/bundles.  Fallout 76 is now considered an old game as well.  With common sense, MS realizes it would be cheaper to just get rid of them by making an amazing deal/value on those specific bundles instead of shipping back and repackaging those consoles with a game that people actually want.  Even if it's not the bundle that many gamers wanted to get, any person with interest in purchasing an One X has the opportunity to get an amazing deal.

This shouldn't have to be explained but here we are. :D

No.........it is a recently new piece of hardware that would've influence its 2018 sales.

And now you're telling me that it actually bombed in 2018.:drake:Thanks for just debunking your posts in 2018.:blessed:

The great part will be you making posts in 2020 debunking your posts from right now.

AND, also you proved Gouk right because the PS4pro's effect in 2017 was more successful than XBX effect in 2018.

The validation is obvious right now...........you don't see Sony marking the PS4pro BELOW $300, not even retailers are putting it below $300.

Whereas the XBX has gone below $400, and retailers marked it below $350.

No..............why view this as anything other than "Xbox One X at $337"

Nobody has to think about ANYTHING else, because if you value the console enough to buy it at the price point, then no bundle package matters.

You don't have any info of other bundles selling well. This is their most common bundle at retailers right now........and its bombing.

This isn't complicated, notice how you're trying to ADD IN more factors? because your logic doesn't work without implementing mental gymnastics.

It's discontinued and it's their most common bundle.

At $337 there won't be many left soon enough.  Then back to normal price on regular bundles.  MS sure is nice for taking a loss on those consoles in order to clear the bundle from store shelves..  MS

But if they never sold any, then they have to drive down prices to clear it.

Therefore their NEW bundles will eventually reach that point, because (I will point this out again) you have no proof that those are selling.

How the view from that new hill you ran to? I got no problem with MS being generous.

But, it doesn't stop anything I said from being wrong.  They're having trouble selling XBX  at around $350, what are their chances of selling a discless, significantly less-powerful Xbox One SAD at $250.

Can't wait for MS to be generous on that model. MS:bow:

Did it ever cross your mind that it's the most common bundle because it's not selling? And that it's the only one which is $399.99 because it's not selling?

Of course not.

Of course not.

Which means that its going to cause the other bundles to tank in sales, because nobody is going to choose a higher priced bundle at $450 MSRP when they can get a $337-$350 XBX. No game that is currently being bundled offsets those savings.

And those $450 will collect dust, and retailers will start dumping those.

This is textbook Libertarianism view of the free market.  The Xbox One X is not worth $400, because if it was, it would be selling.  Ergo, any price in which you can get consumers to bite on is the fair market price.

  • 3 weeks later...

So two morons, @DynamiteCop! and @Spicalicious tried to tell me a couple of weeks ago that the reason that the Xbox One X bundle with Fallout 76 was hitting rock-bottom prices of $329 was because it was an "old bundle"

They were clearing out stock. Nobody wanted those bundles when they had "new bundles"

So, clearly the NEW bundle of the Xbox One X + Division 2 has been doing a good job maintaining its pr-
