Damn! look at those XBONE sales in the chart!!       The slice of pie is so small you can hardly see it!  They should just axe XBONE support and develop a version for Switch inste

Let's look at some European digital numbers shall we.    Days Gone has 21% digital ratio,  PS4 Mortal Kombat 11 digital ratio is 22%. God of War - 19%, Mortal Kombat 11 XB1 -

Comparing a UK only stat for all games compared to the WW stat for one game :lemming:

That UK stat is based upon Fifa and Fifa alone for just the UK. Not all AAA games, just Fifa and they try to apply that broadly.

They used that as an example you clown 🤡

and if you look at your graphs the PC version sold the most... and it's percentage share increased per year.

PC is predominantly digital...... lmfao at you using this to prove a console point :rofls:

No, they based AAA sales on that and that alone and extrapolate it to the entire AAA market as some kind of indicator.

Stop being an idiot, it's clear as day what is written there.

Digital sales aren't that surprising. The game is on sale like every month it seems. I see it all the time on the PS store.

Hell, I think it's on sale right now actually.

Wait a minute, so Dynocrap made a thread in which he repeatedly shows the Xbox absolutely fail to sell copies of a widely-hyped early-gen open world game, and they actually sold LESS than their proportion of the console market?

All because he was trying to prove a point about digital sales..............which is also sad because he's trying to lay the groundwork for Microsoft making their upcoming consoles all-digital (so sad, LOL).

And his attempt at using Witcher 3 as an example blows up in his face because its severely skewed by it being a SOLE DIGITAL title on PC, which most people bought it on because its continuously on sale, and sells for a cheaper price.

Wow, this is vintage Dynocrap failure.:tom:

It didn't fail you moron.

The difference is 2.52x but what you failed to take into account was that this game sold quite strongly in the Japanese market where Xbox has almost no presence and the PS4 has an install base of 8 million, that's enough to account for the offset.

:mj:

This is peak Dyno delusion.

The game sold like 67K in Week 1 in Japan (for comparison Days Gone just did 114K). It would've sold max 200-300K copies or some shit lifetime in Japan (and im being very generous)

As of March 2016 Witcher 3 was at 10 million sales

How dumb do you have to be to try and wave away the 2.52x PS4 sales to the Japanese market :danylol:

Cause I currently have nothing better to do and this place could use some ownage:

The last we saw of Witcher 3 on the Japenese charts was:

  1. [PS4] The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (Spike Chunsoft, 05/21/15) – 2,919 (131,333)

That was in July 2015 https://gematsu.com/2015/07/media-create-sales-71315-71915

So it was at 130K lifetime in Japan

As of 2016 Witcher 3 was a 10m (would be even more now), but going with 10m that makes the split:

4.45m on PC

3.95m on PS4

1.55m on Xbox One

and Dyno is trying to wave away the 3.95M v 1.55m due to the 130K that Japan did :freeman:

(note that the 2.52x is even a bigger number now because it has sold a lot more than 10m since 2016)

Stop trying to extrapolate imaginary standings and ratios, you're not even making an attempt to factor in sales shifts and declines.

With each subsequent year the sales percentages changed. Xbox remained within two percentage points over the course of the following three years so there was a high level of sales consistency while the PlayStation 4 fell 9% over the course of the same three years. You have no idea what you're talking about.

Sony saw a 6% share decline, then a 7% decline, then a 2% decline. Their total share fell 15% from 2015 through 2018. Xbox's share declined 6%, then increased 1%, then declined 2%, their total share decreased by 7%. That means over the course of that 3 year period the Xbox was actually gaining ground on the initial breakdown from 2015 relative to the PS4 while the PS4 was declining from that ratio.

130K lifetime sales offsetting the 2.5m gain as of 2016 :freeman:
