Sergio Perez SP11 176
The fact that it’s called an RX 5700 is promising. they still have the RX 5800 and RX 5900 and possibly even “XT” naming schemes to play with
Sergio Perez SP11 176
The CPU’s are cool and all, but I probably wouldn’t see performance increase at 4K vs my 2700X

Remij 5,047
Probably licensing some 3rd party tech until they get their own shit up and running.
lynux3 2,460
Not to mention that Navi is being paired with GDDR6. Looks like the HBM2 dreams are dead.

Eh But 50% better performance per watt vs GCN? I wonder if this number holds true when compared to a Radeon VII Radeon VII = 14.5 TF @ 300 watt RDNA = 14.5 TF @ 200watt ? A little undervolting and this is suitable for next gen consoles

lynux3 2,460
Keynotes regarding Navi right now. 1.) No mention of next generation Xbox using it... yet. 2.) Navi is paired with GDDR6. 3.) Ray-tracing not in desktop PCs, but have it in "a number of other places." Console(s)? 4.) Moved away from GCN with RDNA. So with that said, do lemmings still prefer using Vega over Navi now that they know Navi clearly performs better with a substantial increase in efficiency? All of the lemmings at RetardEra who were once claiming Anaconda would be based on Vega because Navi sucks are now scrambling and reconsidering... some even suggesting Anaconda now "seems likely" to use the 12C/24T Zen 2. Those dumbasses will do and say anything to keep their Hopes & Dreams alive.

The Mother Fucker 27
I might buy the 3800X down the road next year.
Remij 5,047
Threadripper confirmed for Zen 2 AMD CEO Dr. Lisa Su: “You know. it’s very interesting, some of the things that circulate on the Internet—I don’t think we ever said that Threadripper was not going to continue—it somehow took on a life of its own on the Internet,” Su said, speaking to a small group of reporters following her keynote. “You will see more [Threadripper] from us; you will definitely see more. If mainstream is moving up, then Threadripper will have to move up, up—and that’s what we’re working on,” Nice. Ryzen moving up to 16 cores, Threadripper moving up to 64 cores. lynux3 2,460
The 16C/32T Ryzen is on the Computex floor, but AMD didn't release any information on it, FYI.
The Mother Fucker 27
She confirmed that Threadripper is not dead but I don't think you're going to see much on Threadripper this year as AMD is focusing on primarily Desktop and Mobile to take out Intel. Plus a 16 core Ryzen 9 would conflict too much with a 16 core Threadripper which would require a consumer to buy a whole new platform to go the TR route.
Playstation Tablet 1,865
Digital Foundry @digitalfoundry A new measurement for Navi's 7nm die-size - impressive for GTX 1080-class performance, and a good size for possible console integration considering a potential 320-360mm2 area budget? APISAK @TUM_APISAK 255mm2 14.44 x 17.6 So 10-12tflops again as a realistic goal. Edited May 30, 2019 by Team 2019
Playstation Tablet 1,865
So apparently the Navi CUs are more efficient but they are larger in size and the biggest desktop Navi will be 44 CUs. The top end card that's going to be 500 will tap out at like 12tflops or something. So 10tflops for consoles, maybe even 9 sounds about right.
lynux3 2,460
Also been confirmed that Navi 2019 is a GCN+RDNA hybrid... real RDNA will be Navi 2020.
Playstation Tablet 1,865
I think arguing about tflops is honestly irrelevant now. The big remaining question in the puzzle if there will be real hardware accelerated ray tracing. That's the big if.
