Rainier, the northern Cascades, the Olympic Rain Forest, and Seattle proper. If you like being out in nature and appreciating mountains and green there’s no better place to live. At low tide you can walk along the ocean floor; then at high tide, rent a kayak and paddle around the coast. In some sections of the bay the tide rises as much as 40 feet. It's not as bad as it appears, there's pockets. You'd get the image of Detroit but it's nothing like that, it's still a nice city it just has homeless/drug issues.
