They're multi-billion and a trillion dollar company, do you think they don't have contingencies in place? Ways to shift production in the event of something they already know is possibly coming?

What kind of dumb fuck are you?

Those Foxconn factories require thousands of engineers to create the manufacturing line of a new mass market product.

So, they need a large supply of college-educated engineers to create the manufacturing line and oversee it.

That's why its manufactured in China.

The original Xbox was manufactured in Mexico, I think they could manage.

The original Xbox was made with existing, off-the-shelf PC parts. You literally picked the one thing that isn't remotely designed like all the other modern consoles.

No different than assembling a Dell computer (which are also assembled in Mexico).

That has nothing to do with the manufacturing, aside from circuit traces everything is affixed to the surface of the motherboard. There would be absolutely zero manufacturing difference between the original Xbox and the Xbox One X as an example.

They're both just stamped boards with soldered chips. How on Earth did your brain come to the conclusion that because one uses semi-custom chips and the other uses 'off the shelf' chips that there would actually be some discrepancy in manufacturing?
