jehurey 3,227 Posted July 11, 2019 Share Posted July 11, 2019 If we have the same issues with major third-party multiplats at the beginning of next-gen like we did back in 2013-2015, then Nintendo not releasing a Switch 2 until Fall 2022 is a perfectly fine move. And, I think the answer to that question is "Yes and No'. Third parties are definitely going to be making cross-platform games into 2020 and 2021. In fact, the new PS5 and Xbox would encourage this because its backwards compatible. They may do a $60 last-gen version, and that is playable on the new console, but they charge an additional fee for an upgrade in graphics for the new consoles. CoD is going to stay on PS4/XBO for at least two more years. Ubisoft is definitely going to be making cross-gen games, and so is EA. They will finally move everything over by 2022, and by that time there's a new Switch with the most power-efficient nVidia GPUs that they can muster. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
