EA? :facep:

Thinking on it now, I was gifted BF1, so last EA game I bought was Bad Company 2 at 75% discount some time around 2012. :glad:

Since last summer, they've lost a third of their stock value. :juggle:

I don't blame EA for not knowing what to do with the Need for Speed games.

I genuinely don't know what the future is for semi-arcadey racing games.

Forza Horizon with an actual progression system.

Open-area racing games aren't gauranteed to excite anybody.  Especially if the open world design comes with the downside of blander-designed racing stages.  Nobody likes load times, but I don't think open-world design solves this problem, either.

I'm almost thinking the same thing.

Just ridiculous-looking souped-up cars and levels that emphasize a drifting mechanic.

They'd also microtransaction the fuck out of it. :ben:

The NFS games are already open world.

I was talking more about the driving model since Horizon is so fucking fun to just drive around in, but it's basically an MMO that just throws cars at you every 30 seconds. It's fun to collect them for awhile, but at a point you realize it's not like you're ever going to drive that sweet Ferrari you unlocked so what's the point? There's no sense of accomplishment in that game.

The last great NFS game was NFS3: Hot Persuit.

That game was so godly.

I have no faith in this series anymore.  Hope I'm wrong.

No lol, Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2 and only the PlayStation 2 'version' (completely different game).

Then you clearly never played Hot Pursuit 2 on PS2.

Nah.. I played them all.  The rest have been garbage.

I hope the next Forza Horizon game has missions where there are cops which will chase you down and arrest you. :wow2:
