Because the cost of development and development cycles has greatly increased and the price has remained $60 for games for nearly two decades.

And yet a single game that sells a million copies is more than enough to pay the entire studio LOL

you realize developers get a cut of online gaming, right? LOL

Are you?

How exactly do you think something can be sustainable at $60 selling a million units when it's got a $100 million dollar budget and another $75 million in marketing? That's $60 million in revenue, just revenue, after all is said and done the publisher is only getting back $37 of that per unit. That $37 has to pay not only them but the development studio as well. They'd have to sell 4.73 million units just to break even, that's too big of a risk.

And every other game as well on gamepass?

It's the same logic EGS is using, they're losing money paying for these exclusivity deals but they know in the long run it will eventually become profitable as it grows.

GamePass pays based upon performance, basically if your game is underperforming you get a lower share of the earnings. They're the wealthiest company on Earth, they're got it sorted out.

Um, they’re not. Not even close. 😂😂😂That’s Apple. LOL. And who do you think is funding Apple Arcade?

you realize more iOS units are moved each quarter than Xbox’s entire life span?

Apple has more cash on hand with less in assets and a lower market cap. If both companies sold right now outright Microsoft would be more valuable, sorry.
