Red Dead Redemption 2 for PC takes full advantage of the power of the PC to bring every corner of this massive, rich and detailed world to life from the windswept snowy peaks of the Grizzly Mountains to the dusty roads of Lemoyne; from the mud-spattered storefronts of Valentine to the cobbled streets of St Denis. New graphical and technical enhancements for deeper immersion include increased draw distances for better navigation; higher quality global illumination and ambient occlusion for improved day and night lighting; higher quality snow trails, improved reflections and deeper, higher resolution shadows at all distances; tessellated tree textures and improved grass and fur textures for added realism in every plant and animal.

jesus...this is going to look incredible on pc. well done, remij.

Thanks breh.  It was a long...winding road.. but we arrived at our destination.  We pulled off the ultimate heist.  The payoff is immense.  I'd like to thank all my supporters over the year.. an event like this only happens once a generation. :blessed:

This cowboy is gonna ride off into the sunset! :smoke:

Rockstar are making no bones about it:

"With a host of new additions and a range of technical, graphical and performance enhancements to make Red Dead Redemption 2 for PC the ultimate version of Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang’s open world epic."

"Red Dead Redemption 2 for PC also offers HDR support, the ability to run high-end display setups with 4K resolution and beyond, multi-monitor configurations, widescreen configurations, faster frame rates and more."

Yep.  The most amazing thing though will come from the role playing servers.  The group who made GTA5's role playing server has said they'll have it ready to go within a month from release.  I can already picture the hilarious shit that's gonna happen :D

the one x is like a 1060 and the game looked great on it.

One X is typically better than a 1060. No way a 1060 will do 4k in this game at any playable framerate.

I'd bet that's for 1080p60fps and I'm still doubtful on that

eh, not much better, though. i'd say it's a subtle notch above the 1060, but falls short of the 1070.

It's much more comparable to a 1070 resolution wise .

It's really not.  Most of X1X's games aren't even in native 4K.

Overclock the 1060 a tad and you're good to fucking go.

Overclock the 1060 to a base 1070 and sure.

1060 will not do native 4k in this game.
