What hasn't Sony accomplished exactly?

Mutliplayer sessions within the cloud.  Hosting the game but also having multiplayer sessions running in the cloud while those games are being hosted.  All done very quickly and without lag.  This results in a seamless multiplayer experience on each device regardless of what it is being played on.  It is not limited to the hardware like phone or tablet but on the actual Xbox gaming console running in those blades.  Why would they not use Xbox consoles to host the games :D duh that's what the games were developed for. :D  The game is running remotely on the Xbox and each Xbox is able to communicate with each other very quickly and able to host multiplayer sessions within the cloud.  The only limiting factor is the user's internet speed.

I'd like to hear your impressions too since you'll represent a best case scenario.

So you think that PlayStation Now multiplayer sessions aren't within its cloud infrastructure and that somehow the PS3/PS4 server chassis are physically removing itself out of the cloud for multiplayer sessions?

Not on this scale.. Come on now.  Sony hasn't really expanded on their service and don't really have the know how to improve their infrastructure.  Not like Microsoft and their experts in network operating systems. .Ah sony.. they're primary business was never software.  Not like MS.... and the most popular operating system in the world to boot. :whew:

Microsoft builds network operating systems.  Why wouldn't this be their forte?

Well they're going to Microsoft for their network for a reason.

Not on what scale? PlayStation Now is currently available in 19 countries with 15 datacenters, 37 PoPs.

The service was expanded this year too so what haven't they expanded again?

It's funny how Sony's primary business was never software, but yet it's software continues to shit all over Microsoft's software in sales, quality and quantity.

Not sure why you've chosen such a pointless hill to die on. :mj:

Doesn't matter.  They won't be able to beat MS in this game.  MS builds network operating systems and cloud technology.  How can you even think that Sony stands a chance against Microsoft in this domain?  :D it's all over bro.. you'll see.

You gravely misunderstood all of it.

Microsoft wants Sony's streaming and semiconductor expertise and Sony wants a discount on cloud services. What else could it possibly be? Sony has 7+ years of R&D for streaming content, a shit ton of patents, a lifetime of semiconductor expertise and Microsoft has a cloud.

You think Sony needs Microsoft's help with streaming content on phones... something we were able to do in the PS3 era with Remote Play? :den:

Xcloud already performs better than PSNow

Exactly this, so what in the hell do they need Sony for?
