Apparently he liked the role and the game so much that he actually convinced CDPR to give him a greater presence with more dialogue and appearances. Pretty awesome stuff, you don't usually see this kind of situation happening in games.

I like him a lot in movies but I can see him kind of breaking the 4th wall in this game ultimately taking you out of the experience.

nah. he's more of a guide, which is typical in these types of games.
